Not MICHAEL JOHNS!!??!!

April10

I was in the middle of my “comeback” post… and I just had to stop and write about tonight’s American Idol “results” show. After having to sit through the droves of inane celebrities telling me how I should “give back” (I never took anything!!! Stop telling me to give back damn it!), the end of the show FINALLY gets here and I learn who is kicked off. MICHAEL JOHNS… oh my fucking god! Are you kidding me? Was this a belated, very unfunny April Fool’s joke? Not to mention, Seacrest teased Michael by telling him someone got amnesty last year but not this year. Son-of-a-bitch… pour a little more salt in the wound why don’tcha, Ryan!

Now, I know why I boycotted this show for 6 years…

  1. I swear this show is rigged.
  2. The voting process is completely unfair… anyone can have as many phone/text votes as they want. How about changing it to one vote per person… or better yet… ONE VOTE PER IP ADDRESS. Get in the 21st century Idol!!!!
  3. People in this god-forsakened country are absolutely and completely stupid… not to mention tone deaf!!!! They vote on popularity; not on talent. News flash… it’s a TALENT COMPETITION, not a fashion or personality contest you stupid fucks.
  4. How incredibly fickle Randy and Simon are.

Typically I really appreciate Simon’s brutal honesty; not to mention, usually agree with him. However, tonight was a majorly different story. No one on earth could have sung “Dream On” by Aerosmith any closer to a “T” than he did. Here’s a tip Simon… take out your earplugs before you hit the judge’s box.

Damn, I’m pissed. Errr.

“Dresden Files” dead at age 1.

August20

It’s official now; the only Harry worth watching now is Potter. Legions of people wrote to SCI-FI and NBC to save the show, including yours truly. It’s not that the show was necessarily unpopular, it’s ratings were as strong as Battlestar Gallatica (which remains on SCI-FI), it simply just couldn’t make the network enough money. Even after considering moving production to Edmonton, Alberta (Canada), the executives finally decided to lower the guillotine on our beloved program; a full month after SCI-FI execs promised to make a decision.

Fortunately through Jon, I’ve discovered new shows on BBC America such as “Dr. Who”, “Coupling”, “Bargain Hunt” and of course, “Absolutely Fabulous!”. It still doesn’t make up for the utter stupidity of the American networks who consistantly shoot themselves in the foot by killing imaginitve, enthralling, and truly high quality programming. Just really makes me loathe corporate America that much more.   *shaking head*

Summer TV Sucks. Sorta.

July31

Ok, for the most part, everyone agrees… summer time television bites the great BIG one! Though I have to admit, there are a few shows on American TV which are worth watching. Here are the ones I do look forward to:

  • NBC’s America’s Got Talent: Julienne Irwin

I must preface I’m not a country fan; whatsoever.
