I’ve really gotten bad about blogging. For some reason, everything else in my life has become the front runner and blogging was inadvertently put on the back-burner.
Since being Ellie May’s foster Mommy, SOOOO much has happened. I earned a full time position at Consumer Source Inter@ctive as an Interactive Marketing Producer in late June, then Jon visited for a month from July 2nd through August 5th. While Jon was here, we rescued a sweet stray we named “Andy” who became Maggie’s play pal. Also while Jon was here, I traveled to San Francisco for a week for training on the Responsys Interact webware that I use at work. Got to see Jeffy for the first time in over a year… which was uber cool… seems like his life is really getting on track now that’s he’s back home in Northern California.
Even though everything seemed so rosy when I came aboard CSi, now I’m having to deal with job issues and perception problems with my boss and possibly my team… which to a lot of people I’ve spoken to is completely and utterly unjustified. We’ll see come later this afternoon… I’m sure I’ll be blogging again later tonight. ‘Til then…

Dude, I can’t believe it’s really been seven flippin’ months since I last posted a blog. My god, so many things have transpired and changed in my life during that span. Most notably my father died on November 30th, 2007, two days following his landmark 70th birthday. Of course, I went through the gamut in terms of emotional stress but in the end, I was actually able to make my peace with it. Effectively, I flatly decided to put all the horrible history, grudges, and ill-will I felt for him behind me. I actually have a picture of my father next to my bed which I don’t think I’ve ever done; not even as a child.
The other monumental event in November was Jon’s nine hour journey across the pond to celebrate his first Thanksgiving and his 36th birthday with me, the kids and the rest my family. At the time, I was still working for The Standard Club and considered myself very fortunate to take most of the two weeks off from work. Now, I consider myself even more fortunate to not fucking work there anymore! It really was the Wal-Mart of country clubs and lived completely up to it’s sad-but-true nickname of “The Sub-Standard Club”. Anyway, moving on… I was completely nervous having Jon here. The roles had been completely reversed whereas I was hosting him and everything was up to me this go ’round! Anyone who knows me well, knows I don’t do well under social pressure… but fortunately, I didn’t scare him off. :-D Read the rest of this entry »

After a mind blowing experience with Jon in England, I’ve returned to the good ole’ USA. When I say mind blowing, what I really mean is life changing!!!
Beginning the day I got there, Jon and I instantly had an incredibly amazing connection. I wasn’t nervous at all; even up to the minute before I met him! The first things I noticed about my sweetheart were his gorgeous, deep blue eyes and of course, his super sexy height! As we walked to the car from Gatwick’s baggage claim, I felt this amazing warmth travel straight through me… like my instincts were thanking me for finally trusting ‘em.
Jet lag really wasn’t a problem for me. I adjusted to the time nearly immediately. Granted, I was beyond tired… but I hung on until around 8pm the day I arrived and pretty much died in bed for 12 hours. This was the one and only night we spent apart. *grin* After that, we instantly yet naturally slipped into our respective boyfriend/girlfriend roles… holding hands, hugging and kissing constantly, ecetera. Everytime I looked into Jon’s eyes, my stomach fluttered and my heart beat faster. Read the rest of this entry »

I can’t say enough about the people, the beauty of the land, and most importantly about Jon! So much so, I wish I didn’t have to go home… except of course to get my babies and bring ‘em back! :-) England is one of the loveliest places I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. Can’t say I’m as into the food as some might think I would be, but that’ s simply a very minor distraction. Jon’s work mates, his boss, his family, and every one random I’ve come in contact with has been as friendly, contagiously funny, and beyond accomodating. It’s simply the best trip I’ve ever had yet the reasons I just gave you aren’t WHY this is the best. One word can tell you the REAL reason why this trip is the best ever: Jon.

I can’t tell you how incredibly hard it is to keep my furniture clean from the mass amounts of dog hair emitted from Maggie & Bubbles. Case in point, last night I put fresh sheets on the bed. Immediately, Bubba decided, “Oh boy! Let’s make a mess of em!”. Which somewhat pissed me off but also made me think, “How can I make both of us happy???” Here’s how I did it… (and got a big laugh in the process!)
