Too much life… not enough time.

August18

I’ve really gotten bad about blogging. For some reason, everything else in my life has become the front runner and blogging was inadvertently put on the back-burner.

Since being Ellie May’s foster Mommy, SOOOO much has happened. I earned a full time position at Consumer Source Inter@ctive as an Interactive Marketing Producer in late June, then Jon visited for a month from July 2nd through August 5th. While Jon was here, we rescued a sweet stray we named “Andy” who became Maggie’s play pal. Also while Jon was here, I traveled to San Francisco for a week for training on the Responsys Interact webware that I use at work. Got to see Jeffy for the first time in over a year… which was uber cool… seems like his life is really getting on track now that’s he’s back home in Northern California.

Even though everything seemed so rosy when I came aboard CSi, now I’m having to deal with job issues and perception problems with my boss and possibly my team… which to a lot of people I’ve spoken to is completely and utterly unjustified. We’ll see come later this afternoon… I’m sure I’ll be blogging again later tonight. ‘Til then…

Duck, duck… GOOSE!

April24

There are four things I absolutely abhor doing:

  1. Going to the Bank
  2. Going to the Post Office
  3. Going to the Vet
  4. Going to the Dentist

However, once in a great moon, doing one of these god forsaken tasks becomes worthwhile. On Tuesday, I was stopped at my bank’s drive through (kinda ironic huh?!) to make a deposit of two very meager checks. While I’m waiting on the bank teller to process my transaction, I see something bobbing up and down about 50 yards in front of me. Because I didn’t have my glasses on, I couldn’t quite make out what it was but knew it was an animal of some kind. Once I get my deposit receipt, I drive closer to figure out for sure what kind of animal it is. Low and behold, it’s a flippin’ goose! Ed, as I named him, was on the side of the road pecking at the grass and watching as the cars drive by him. It was absolutely hysterical! I don’t know about you but, I’ve never seen a goose away from a pond or any other body of water.

So, I pull over and take out my handy dandy camera and become quite snap happy. As you can see below, Ed looks like he’s looking both ways before he crosses the street… which brings to mind a moe. song called “Kyle“… but that’s another story… My last picture shows Ed catching a glimpse of me… Ain’t he cute??? :-D

If you’d like to see more pictures of my “Goose Encounter of the Up-Close Kind”, I put them in their own album. You’re welcome, Ed.

Heart Rate Up. Weight Down.

… at least I hope so anyway. :)

Two years ago, I bought the Gazelle Freestyle through HSN for a whopping $179 bucks.   Sadly, it’s never been used for anything other than an extension of my closet. So, as of Tuesday night, I finally decided to use it as it was intended; to work off some of my plumpus rumpus.   I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed a well earned sweat.   The last two nights I’ve been going solid for a minimum of 20 minutes at a pretty high pace, which has given me a good sweat and welcomed boost of energy.

Yet, the benefits do come with a price… and that price being two very sore calves this morning; which, of course, is the only thing I DON’T need to work out (go figure!). So, I think tonight I’ll be doing 30 minutes of Yoga tonight and give my legs a rest!
